I’m Lisa, a retired elementary school teacher from the mountains of North Carolina and a lifelong animal lover. Throughout my 30-year teaching career, I was honoured as Teacher of the Year across multiple schools and for the entire county.
My heart for care and connection has always extended beyond the classroom—into the farm, the pasture, and my home. I’ve raised dogs, cats, and horses for decades, often sharing my life with 4 or more pups at a time.
Today, I’m continuing that lifelong passion through Rover’s Retreat, a safe and cozy home-based dog boarding service located in Georgia. I’m currently completing my animal boarding accreditation through IAP Career College and building toward equine therapy certification as well.
